Exciting day at Huntington University Plex as the topping out beam was placed this morning. The university opened the signing to Alumni and Families in the Huntington Community this past week and Crane Industrial’s team set the beam into place this morning.
“Is the Tree because we are Foresters?” Yes and No is the short answer. The actual origins of the topping out tree are a little mirky. However, the tradition can be traced back to European roots as early as 1000AD. Today it signifies the safe completion of the structural framing and wish for continued goodluck for the future of the project. It is more than fitting for Huntington University to have a tree perched atop the last structural beam representing a great milestone for the Foresters!
